APPLE OF MY EYE PORRIDGE – Tropic Skincare

[ad_1]

To celebrate the launch of our delightful Little Tropic range (and all the soft-as-a-baby’s-bum skin we’ve made happy as a result), we thought we’d add a little nourishment to your infant’s food menu too so they’re happy from the faint flecks of their hair to the little folds on the bottom of their feet.

We’ve teamed up with nutritionist Jenna Hope to bring you a recipe which is a little ode to our Little Emy nappy cream.

Read on to find out how to make your very own at home.

Porridge:

50g oats

300ml coconut milk

½ tsp vanilla extract

1 apple

1 tsp coconut oil

1 tsp cinnamon

Topping:

1-2 tbsp coconut yoghurt WHY DOING GOOD IS GOOD FOR US

Method:

1. Chop the apples into cubes and add them to the pan with the coconut oil and cinnamon. Cook over a medium heat until the apples soften.
2. In a separate pan, add the oats, vanilla and coconut milk and cook over a low to medium heat until the oats thicken.
3. Serve up by placing the porridge in a bowl and topping with the stewed apple and coconut yoghurt.

NUT DISCLAIMER: It can be common for parents to be nervous about giving their children nuts. Generally the advice is such that it is safe to introduce nut products between six months and one year. It’s safest to introduce nuts in the form of nut butters and ground nuts to reduce the risk of choking. However, those families with a history of nut allergies may need to introduce nuts at a later stage. Please do seek personalised advice from your GP.
