HOW TO CREATE THE SPRING SHIMMER LOOK WITH REBECCA BARNES AND LOUISE – Tropic Skincare

An effortlessly sun-kissed, glowing look that’s perfect for a seamless transition from day into evening.

We worked with makeup artist, Rebecca Barnes, to bring you this makeup tutorial for natural iridescence, subtly highlighting the cheeks and eyes. We’ve recreated many of these looks on different models, in order to show you how to create the same effect but for various skin tones, skin types and face shapes. Alongside your base essentials and tools, you can recreate this look, demonstrated on Louise, with our customisable, sustainable Colour Palette.

STEP BY STEP

STEP 1

Apply BEAUTY BOOSTER sheer foundation in shade four (coming soon) over the entire face using the PURE PRECISION beauty drop sponge to even skin tone. Make sure the sponge is slightly damp to really help your foundation melt into skin, and apply with a patting motion instead of wiping.

STEP 2

Use the ECO ARTIST flat detailing brush and ILLUMA light-diffusing concealer in barley under the eyes to brighten.

STEP 3

Gently buff MINERAL FOUNDATION in soft honey onto the forehead, nose and chin using your ECO ARTIST precision face brush to set and combat shine.

STEP 4

Using the ECO ARTIST 3-in-1 eye brush, apply a wash of BROW BOSS defining pomade in willowbark.

Then take your ECO ARTIST flat detailing brush and apply WAY TO GLOW cream highlighter in sunset and EYES ON YOU pressed shadow in copper across the lids. 

Staying close to the lash line, use the small end of the ECO ARTIST flat detailing brush to press EYES ON YOU pressed shadow in copper under the lower lash line too and gently blend with the ECO ARTIST eye shadow brush. 

Place some Silk Gel Liner in luna (coming soon) in the waterline and apply lashings of FIXING GEL MASCARA in black to the upper and lower lashes.

STEP 5

Use the ECO ARTIST powder brush to sweep BLUSH CRUSH pressed colour in pinch me pink onto the apples of the cheeks. With the same brush, pop a touch of JET SET pressed bronzer in bali bronze along the lower cheeks, temples and across the nose for a perfectly sun-kissed look.

For an added glow, use the PURE PRECISION beauty drop sponge to apply WAY TO GLOW cream highlighter in sunset across the cheekbones and nose.

STEP 6

Line the lips with LINE UP lip pencil in stripped and apply a generous coat of LIP GLAZE in velvet peach.
