GRASP Confidence didn’t begin as a brand.
It began as a question.
Why do so many capable, successful people quietly doubt themselves? Why does confidence seem to disappear the higher someone climbs? And why does “faking it” so often lead to burnout and imposter syndrome instead of freedom?
Hosted by Tara LaFon Gooch, GRASP Confidence is a podcast built around a simple but radical belief: Confidence is both built and returned to. We return to the confidence we were born with and we build the foundation that allows it to stand strong over time.
From that premise, the show has grown into a trusted space for long-form conversations exploring leadership, faith, wellness, mindset, and purpose through the lens of the whole person—mind, body, and soul.
Rather than offering quick fixes, GRASP Confidence invites listeners into depth. Into reflection. Into embodiment.
Tara, what was missing in the confidence conversation when you started this podcast?
Tara LaFon Gooch: Most confidence advice focuses on appearance; how to sound confident, look confident, act confident. But that skips the deep inner work.
Confidence is innate. No baby questions their worth. No toddler learning to walk decides, “This isn’t for me.” They fall, they rise, and they keep going because confidence is part of our original design. When we build confidence through gratitude, we sustain it regardless of what circumstances or adversities arise in life.
What we lose isn’t confidence, it’s connection. GRASP Confidence exists to help people return to that connection instead of performing their way forward.
The podcast explores confidence through the whole person. Why that approach?
Tara: Because humans don’t experience life in silos. Leadership affects the nervous system. Faith shapes decision-making. Stress shows up in the body. Purpose impacts health.
Many of the guests on the show—physicians, authors, entrepreneurs, and spiritual leaders have reached high levels of success and still found themselves asking deeper questions. The podcast creates space for those conversations without rushing them toward an answer.
It’s not about fixing people. It’s about listening; to wisdom, to the body, and to truth.
GRASP is the framework behind the podcast. What does it represent?
Tara LaFon Gooch: GRASP is a five-step framework that naturally emerged through these conversations and through my own life experience. It stands for:
- Gratitude – grounding perspective while rewiring identity and leadership from the inside out
- Responsibility – reclaiming agency and integrity in how you choose, lead, and respond
- Action – moving with intention rather than fear or perfectionism
- Sight – cultivating vision that is both spiritual and strategic
- Purpose – aligning life and leadership with calling rather than approval
The framework isn’t prescriptive, it’s invitational. Listeners often tell me they recognize themselves somewhere in it and that awareness alone creates movement.
Your guests span a wide range of backgrounds. What unites them?
Tara LaFon Gooch: Curiosity and humility. They’ve reached success, but they haven’t stopped doing the inner work that sustains it.
The show has featured voices like Mark Victor Hansen, co-creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul and a defining voice behind the most successful book movement in publishing history, alongside billionaires, New York Times bestselling authors, physicians, business leaders, professional speakers, and faith-centered thinkers.
What connects them isn’t status, it’s a willingness to reflect honestly on what shaped them. Many guests talk openly about failure, doubt, faith, resilience, and the inner work required to sustain success.
Those conversations resonate because they reflect real life; complex, unfinished, and deeply human.
The podcast has developed a devoted listener base. What do you hear most from listeners?
Tara LaFon Gooch: Listeners often say that the show feels grounding and it helps them come back to themselves.
With thousands of five-star reviews on Spotify, GRASP Confidence feels less like content and more like a place to breathe and exhale. A space where ambition and faith don’t compete. Where confidence isn’t loud or performative but steady and rooted.
People don’t come to be told who to become. They come to remember who they already are.
If someone is new to the podcast, what can they expect to experience?
Tara LaFon Gooch: They’ll hear conversations that go deep and add true value. They’ll encounter perspectives that bridge leadership, wellness, spirituality, and purpose. And they’ll be invited to reflect.
The podcast isn’t about creating a new version of yourself. It’s about returning to alignment and stepping into who you are on your way to becoming.
Confidence doesn’t come from striving harder.
It comes from remembering what was never lost.
GRASP Confidence continues to serve as a space for thoughtful dialogue, meaningful questions, and whole-person growth; guided by voices who understand that real success is not just what we achieve, but how we live.
