Jana, when you founded Ageless Living Magazine, what was the core message you most wanted to share?

Jana Short: When I envisioned Ageless Living Magazine, the heart of it was never just about style, wellness, or longevity—it was about possibility. I wanted to remind people that life doesn’t come with an expiration date on dreams, vitality, or beauty. Too often, society tells us that our best years are behind us, but I believe the opposite: our later chapters are where wisdom, freedom, and refinement converge into something extraordinary.

The magazine was created as a stage for that truth. Whether you’re 35 or 75, the message is the same—you are not defined by age, but by how fully you choose to live. Luxury, wellness, creativity, and community aren’t privileges reserved for a select few; they’re invitations for all of us to live more deeply, more beautifully, and more authentically.

At its core, Ageless Living is about dismantling the myth of limitation and celebrating the richness of a life that continues to expand. My mission was, and still is, to build a publication that feels like an open door—where readers see themselves not as “getting older,” but as stepping into their most powerful, purposeful, and radiant era yet.

Ageless Living challenges outdated ideas about aging, success, and beauty. What myths or stereotypes do you feel most passionate about rewriting through the magazine?

Jana Short: One of the most damaging myths I want to dismantle is the notion that age diminishes relevance. Too often, culture suggests that after a certain point, our voices should quiet down, our ambitions shrink, and our beauty fade into the background. That narrative is not only false—it robs us of some of the most creative, impactful, and fulfilling years of our lives.

Another stereotype I’m passionate about rewriting is the idea that success has a deadline. We live in a society obsessed with early achievement, as if impact is only impressive when it happens young. But I’ve seen people launch businesses, write books, find love, or completely reinvent their lives at 50, 60, 70, and beyond. Success isn’t a race against time—it’s a rhythm we choose to step into at any age.

And finally, beauty. Beauty is too often portrayed as something fleeting, surface-level, and reserved for the young. Ageless Living celebrates beauty as an energy—a confidence, a presence, a way of inhabiting life with grace and authenticity. Wrinkles, wisdom, laughter lines—these are not flaws to erase but proof of a life richly lived.

Through the magazine, we are not just challenging these stereotypes—we’re replacing them with stories, images, and voices that show the fullness of what it means to live well, live luxuriously, and live without apology at every stage of life.

Ageless Living is designed to be more than articles; it’s intended to be a curated experience. In what ways do you hope readers carry the message of the magazine into their everyday lives?

Jana Short: My hope is that Ageless Living feels like a passport—each page opening the door to new ways of seeing, living, and being. It’s not just about consuming stories; it’s about embodying them. When someone closes the magazine, I want them to feel inspired to book that trip they’ve been putting off, to finally wear the bold outfit that’s been waiting in their closet, or to make space for rituals that bring both wellness and wonder into their daily rhythm.

I see the magazine as a mirror and a map. A mirror that reflects back the truth of their own brilliance, and a map that points toward possibilities they may not have considered yet—whether that’s trying a new healing practice, exploring luxury as self-care rather than excess, or stepping more boldly into community and connection.

If our readers begin to see the extraordinary in the ordinary—to notice beauty in the details of their routines, to approach aging as an expansion instead of a decline, and to live each day with a sense of intention and vitality—then Ageless Livinghas done its work.

In a world full of trends, how do you choose content that isn’t simply stylish but also soulful and intentional. What makes a story ‘Ageless Living-worthy?

Jana Short: At Ageless Living, community is the heartbeat. Style may catch the eye, but it’s connection that sustains us—and that’s the through-line I look for in every story. The Blue Zones taught us something profound: longevity isn’t only about clean eating or daily movement; it’s about belonging. It’s about gathering at the table, moving with purpose, and weaving yourself into a community where wellness is not an individual pursuit but a shared culture.

A story becomes Ageless Living-worthy when it reflects that kind of wholeness. It must go deeper than aesthetics—it needs to demonstrate how luxury can be experienced as nourishment, how success can be grounded in contribution, and how beauty can be enhanced through connection. If an article inspires our readers to not only enhance their own lives but also to enrich the lives of those around them, then it embodies the very essence of this magazine.

We aren’t curating trends; we’re curating a lifestyle where vitality is communal, where elegance and wellness walk hand in hand, and where readers feel invited to live not just longer, but more connected, joyful, and meaningful lives.

Your Executive Editors each bring such unique strengths. What inspired you to bring together this particular group of women?

Jana Short: I’ve always believed that a magazine is only as powerful as the voices shaping it. When curating the team of Executive Editors, I wasn’t just looking for talent—I was looking for resonance. Each woman embodies a different decade, a different lens, a different rhythm of wisdom. Together, they create a mosaic that reflects what Ageless Living is truly about: diversity of experience woven into one shared vision.

What inspired me most was the recognition that no single perspective can carry the fullness of this movement. Longevity, wellness, and beauty aren’t linear journeys; they evolve as we evolve. By bringing together editors who span generations, cultures, and disciplines, we ensure the magazine doesn’t just speak to one stage of life but to all of them.

This particular group of women carries more than expertise—they bring integrity, curiosity, and a profound commitment to making an impact. They challenge each other, they inspire me, and most importantly, they remind our readers that thriving isn’t about walking alone—it’s about walking together, each of us bringing our own brilliance to the table.

As an award-winning holistic wellness powerhouse and author, how does your own journey inform the magazine’s commitment to longevity, purpose, and reinvention?

Jana Short: My journey has been one of constant reinvention—of learning that the hardest seasons can also become the most transformative. I’ve faced health challenges, setbacks, and the kind of moments that force you to redefine what really matters. Each time, I chose to see those experiences not as endings, but as invitations to live with greater purpose, clarity, and joy. That mindset is the very foundation of Ageless Living.

Longevity, to me, is more than years added to life—it’s the vitality and meaning we weave into those years. Purpose is what gives that longevity direction, and reinvention is the courage to embrace change as a gateway to growth. I’ve lived all three, and I know firsthand how powerful they can be when aligned.

So the magazine is not just a publication; it’s a reflection of the truths I’ve lived. It’s about saying to every reader: no matter what you’ve been through, you have the power to rewrite your story. Longevity isn’t just about living longer—it’s about living truer. Reinvention isn’t a risk—it’s your birthright. And purpose is the compass that makes it all worthwhile.

What does legacy mean to you, and how do you hope Ageless Living contributes to the legacy of empowered, awakened women worldwide?

Jana Short: Legacy, to me, isn’t measured in possessions or titles—it’s measured in impact. It’s the ripple you leave behind in the lives you’ve touched, the courage you’ve sparked in others, and the truths that keep echoing long after your voice has gone quiet. My deepest hope is that Ageless Living becomes part of that ripple, not just for me, but for every woman who reads it.

This magazine is a living archive of possibility. It’s a reminder that women are not defined by age, limitation, or expectation—but by the choices we make to live boldly, love deeply, and rise fully into ourselves. If Ageless Living helps even one woman look at her reflection and see not decline but radiance, not endings but new beginnings, then we’ve already shifted the narrative.

My vision is for generations of women—daughters, granddaughters, sisters, and friends—to inherit a different story. A story where they know that aging is not something to fear, but something to embrace. Where reinvention is not unusual, but celebrated. Where beauty is not erased, but exalted in all its forms.

If Ageless Living can stand as a torch in that movement—illuminating the path for empowered, awakened women worldwide—then that is the legacy I want to leave.
