Consciously disconnect from work. Set a quitting time each day, and decide to let all thoughts about work wait until the next business day. These simple guidelines have rescued me from lying awake at night overthinking work tasks until my alarm goes off. Failing to mentally disconnect from work is something that can really have a negative impact on your overall health. As a person who has a Type A personality, this is a struggle I’ve had to overcome. It may not always be easy to leave work at work, but do it for your personal wellness.

My biggest piece of advice as a health practitioner is to indulge in regular self-care, and don’t feel selfish for it. It’s so important to carve out intentional time to do restorative things we enjoy. According to the American Institute of Stress, 77% of people experience stress that affects their physical health. So get that massage, splurge on that pedicure or take that relaxing camping trip, because your overall wellness depends on it.

As an entrepreneur, staying up to date with the latest wellness trends is essential for success. Some of the most popular trends right now are mindfulness, sleep optimization, and Nutropics. I personally have benefited from all three of these wellness trends.

Mindfulness has helped me to be more present and to be more mindful of my thoughts and actions. I have been able to better manage stress and stay focused on tasks.

Optimizing my sleep routine has also been beneficial. I have been able to get better quality sleep, which ultimately helps me to be more productive and energized during the day.

Finally, I have found Mindlab PRO to be a great way to keep me motivated and help with concentration , it also remove procrastination.

Overall, these wellness trends have helped me to be more productive and successful as an entrepreneur. I highly recommend that all entrepreneurs do their best to stay up to date with these trends and find ways to incorporate them into their lives.

I’ve spent the last 5 years building my own health and wellness called Buoy. Our products are sold nationwide in CVS and Walgreens. More important that product development, or really anything else, is the health and wellness of every Buoy employee. We’ve implemented a “Take it Squeezy” day which requires all employees to choose one Wednesday each month as a personal wellness day. We all do our best work when we’re not working all the time. Beyond that, I recommend that everyone focuses on their own effective morning routine. For me, I make sure I meditate, stretch, take a cold shower, and hydrate before getting work for the day.

When it comes to my personal wellbeing, one thing I’ve incorporated into my life over the last 12 months is a weekly massage. I’m generally fairly active — I go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and take my dog for 2 walks most days. But as I’ve started to get a bit older, I’ve found that my muscles take longer to recover. I looked into this, and one thing that I read about that I found interesting was going for a deep tissue massage once a week.

I didn’t think I’d like it, but I really do! It helps my body to recover quicker and helps to relieve stress. And it helps take a break away from my business too, and often, gives me the freedom to think creatively.

If you’re able to, I’d definitely recommend weekly massages. It’s been great for me.

There are several wellness trends that entrepreneurs need to try in order to continue their success.

One of the most important wellness trends that entrepreneurs should try is meditation. Meditation can be done almost anywhere, and it will help you to clear your mind and focus on what really matters.

Another trend that entrepreneurs should try is yoga. Yoga allows you to be more flexible and helps you improve your physical health while strengthening your mental strength as well.

Finally, another wellness trend that entrepreneurs should try is exercising regularly. Exercise not only helps you lose weight but also improves your overall health by lowering blood pressure, reducing stress levels and improving sleep quality.

Title: CEO and Founder

Company: The Best Brisbane

Hello Jim,

This response is on behalf of Eleanor Fletcher, the CEO, and Founder of The Best Brisbane. The website provides informative reviews on the products, attractions, entertainment, and services you can find in the city. Eleanor wants to do everything she can as the CEO to inspire her team to produce successful results.

You can experience significant, positive changes in the working environment of your company by making a small number of changes that are specifically designed to enhance the well-being and happiness of your team members. Starting out, you might want to think about benefits like funded gym memberships or fitness classes, healthy breakfasts, job flexibility, and others.

Offer benefits to your employees

Employees have something to look forward to and be grateful for thanks to perks. They promote productivity and give your staff members a sense of worth. This can improve performance, lower the likelihood of workplace dissatisfaction, and keep valuable team members from looking for jobs at other organizations that offer the benefits they desire.

Set Up Social Events

The majority of work is now completed in teams. In order to create a friendly workplace, it is crucial for the employees to get along with one another. The best way to do that is to host social events at work, such as corporate gatherings, game nights, picnics, or even volunteer shifts at nearby animal shelters.

Integrate Remote Days

Give your staff the option to work one day per week from home or an offsite location (such as a coffee shop, park, or beach). This makes it easier to concentrate, and a change of scenery can spark creative inspiration. Additionally, by being flexible, you’re showing your staff that you trust them to take initiative, which will improve their emotional health and engagement.

Encouraging overall mental health

The connection between physical and mental health is one of the things that the pandemic brought home. Without promoting mental health, no healthcare program is complete. Every month, businesses allow employees to take the day off without being questioned for mental health. Additionally, having on-staff counselors to support workers through a few difficult times will greatly improve employee wellness.

Title: CEO and Founder

Company: Dubai’s Best

Linkedin: NA

Hello Jim,

This answer is provided on behalf of Rashid Khan, the CEO, and founder of Dubai’s Best. The website aims to be your guide to the best things that Best has to offer, from the top products to the most dependable services. We do extensive consumer research to find these. As the CEO, Rashid wants to do everything in his power to motivate his staff to produce successful outcomes.

Any organization’s ability to operate effectively depends on the health of its workforce. Without it, your business may experience decreased productivity, low team morale, a miserable working environment, as well as a rise in absenteeism.

Honor your best employees with gifts that promote well-being and connection

While ensuring employee well-being while your business is open is crucial to its success, you might be passing up a chance to give employees a chance to unwind and try new things. You can reward a worker with experiential gifts by giving them the chance to cross something off their bucket list through a unique experience.

Fostering a culture of work-life balance

There once was a belief that your chances of promotion would increase as your work hours increased. This idea has repeatedly been disproven because the key to success is not how long you work but rather how intelligently. Unquestionable evidence shows that maintaining a healthy work-life balance with flexible hours and paid time off for personal days and vacations helps employees stay energized and productive over time.

Granting leave for mental health

These days, we’re becoming more and more aware of the prevalence of mental health issues and the enormous impact they can have on a person’s entire life, including their career. Giving employees time off for mental health purposes allows them to recover, take the break they require, and come back in a much better frame of mind. This benefits everyone, not just the individual. Additionally, it can avoid team member negativity or lack of productivity as well as burnout.

If more information is required, Rashid and the other dedicated members of Dubai’s Best team are happy to help. If you choose to use his remarks, kindly cite him using the information below.

Give hemp an honest chance. Despite the federal legalization of hemp farming, there are still a lot of misconceptions floating around about this plant. Hemp has many medicinal properties, and not all hemp-based products cause a “high” effect. Prima’s doctor-formulated Chill Out Chews, for example, are formulated with CBD and other vitamins and minerals. The all-natural chews help take the edge off without causing a high effect or hangover. CBD topicals (like Prima’s extra strength cooling rescue stick) offer natural pain and stress relief by supporting the body’s endocannabinoid system.

Title: CEO

The past few years have been an awakening for many companies, both large and small. It made us realize that our relationship with our employees is vital, and we should nurture and take care of it as much as possible. We should not only focus on how they perform at work but also be concerned about how they will do well. It is possible if we have a good employee program where they will feel safe with the company and motivated to help it reach its goals.

One trend for improving employee programs is imposing a work-life balance culture. It might be difficult if the business is small and there needs to be more work. However, you will have fewer employees later if you don’t do it. Checking your employees to see if they get enough rest days is good practice.

Training and seminars are also good employee wellness programs. Seminars such as taking care of their mental health and financial wellness are beneficial to your employee and will also help them improve themselves. Also, having a simple pizza on a Friday or a celebration whenever the office reaches a goal works wonders for your team. It shows that you appreciate them and are happy about their achievements.

Employee well-being is a meaningful way to attain growth and success. For me, an employee who is healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally is an asset for a productive workplace. I implemented wellness challenges to keep my team members stay active and healthy even working remotely. Sleep is the most important habit that everyone should take in life. The eight hours of sleep challenge will help employees get the proper rest and energize them the following day. Members are tracked with a sleep app for a week and give out prizes that track the most nights of 8 hours of sleep consistently.

As an entrepreneur, self-care and employee well-being is part of my company’s priorities. I believe that wellness can benefit my business, as it lowers healthcare costs, promotes higher productivity, and improves overall satisfaction. We created a program called “healthy living credits and care packages.” The employee will choose whether to receive an allowance intended to live a healthier lifestyle, such as healthy food delivery, cleaning services, or gym memberships, or receive care packages, boxes full of self-care supplies including self-improvement books, tea, coffee, bath essentials, and healthy snacks. These programs can make it easier for employees to practice a healthy lifestyle and invest in their health.

Hello Jim,

This response is on behalf of Min Tom, the CEO, and Founder of Happy Hong Konger. The website offers accessible and easy-to-read reviews on the best services and products. As the CEO Min wants her employees to be as motivated as possible in order to achieve positive results.

It goes without saying that employees who are physically and psychologically healthy will have a positive outlook on life, be productive, and be engaged at work. Saving money might be the main driving force behind most organizations, and it might not always be for the best. It doesn’t change the fact, however, that maintaining good health is important and that doing so in the environment where we spend the majority of our waking hours will have a positive effect on our lives that will extend to the time we spend with our families and in the community.

Make it a priority to recognize and reward employees

Recognizing employees for their work and accomplishments is one of the wellness initiatives that is most desired and simplest to implement. For Millennial workers, who are used to receiving praise from a young age, this is especially effective. They frequently desire recognition more than a pay increase because they belong to the so-called “self-esteem generation.” An informal recognition program, a handwritten note of gratitude, or both can significantly contribute to the development of a supportive emotional climate for well-being.

Give your staff some exercise time

The average adult should engage in 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity each week, but many of us now work jobs and complete tasks that require little physical effort, making it difficult for many people to maintain their health and fitness. You can maximize your team’s physical well-being, improve their mood, and even cut down on sick days by giving them exercise or gym plans.

The use of message boards

Message boards that are prominently placed in break rooms are effective when you invite employee involvement. Employees can add their suggestions, wellness goals, milestones, and accomplishments to the boards rather than just using them for announcements. Support in this way provides a peer group and encourages workers to take care of their health.

If you have any further questions to support your content Min and the rest of the team at Happy Hong Konger are happy to help. Her credit information is provided below if you choose to utilize her comments.

The wellness trend entrepreneurs need to try in 2023 is digital wellness assistance. This trend would particularly skyrocket this year as more companies embrace the idea of remote work. Companies would invest significantly in digital well-being tools to help create a mindful and constructive workplace. This measure would help smooth the onboarding process and maintain productivity levels amongst employees. It’s a win-win situation for both the employees and the employers. Some tools, such as TeleHealth, are designed to boost an individual’s mental and physical well-being at the workplace.

The trend toward including nutraceuticals in a diet plan is something that I do and urge my employees to do as well. The exciting aspect of adding nutraceuticals is choosing from the three available categories. Nutraceuticals can be taken as a supplement and added to drinks or functional foods like fruits and vegetables. The best time to consume them would be during breakfast, so they impact the entire day positively. Taking them improves the digestive system. Also, their minerals are excellent for the body. The employees that have taken them have admitted that it really helps them maintain a healthy diet.

In addition to being the CEO & Co-Founder of a seven-figure revenue start-up, I am also an eye surgeon. As an entrepreneur and surgeon, I prioritize performance and longevity. To optimize both, I focus on five core areas: sleep, hydration, nutrition, exercise and mindfulness.

1. For sleep, my routine is: going to sleep and waking up at the same time daily; using a sleep tracking app to monitor my sleep efficiency; making sure that the ambient temperature in my bedroom is on the colder side (68 degrees or below); avoiding food 3 hours before bed, and water 2 hours before bed; avoiding caffeine after noon; using magnesium threonate for restful sleep.

2. For hydration, I focus on: drinking at minimum 12 glasses of water a day; adding an electrolyte solution in the morning during workouts; using a water intake tracking app to make sure I’ve met my hydration goal by 6pm.

3. For nutrition I utilize: intermittent fasting, which includes a 20 hour fast with 4 hours of eating time from noon to 4pm; adding Athletic Green as my daily multivitamin and probiotic; ingesting at least 2g of essential fatty acids daily; taking co-enzyme Q10 daily for anti-oxidation.

4. For exercise, I do a mix of strength and cardiovascular training 5 days a week. It also includes three 10-minute sessions in the sauna and 2–3 cold plunges a week. The sauna helps with stress/muscle relief, while the cold plunge helps with recovery.

5. For mindfulness, I do 10 minutes of mindful meditation focused on breathing daily and journaling. Starting my day with mindful meditation helps me stay alert and focused.

Title: Founder

Company: Corporate Coach Group

Linkedin: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/chris-farmer-

As corporate and career coaches, we try to understand and implement the importance of wellness into our teachings. Someone who works extremely hard to achieve success needs to understand and be an expert at looking after their personal wellness even more than others because of how much they test their mind and mental endurance.

One wellness trend I try to pass on to others is the simple ‘5-minute rule’. If you are feeling overwhelmed, have a negative mindset, are in the middle of a creative block, or simply feel like you need a break, take 5 minutes. Step away immediately — leave your phone, computer, smartwatch, etc. — and step away. You can go for a little walk, you can sit down and close your eyes, or you could even just look out a window aimlessly. The key is to leave technology behind for 5 minutes, or your mind won’t be able to rest.

Do this as often as you need and learn how to rest your mind quickly and effectively for these 5 minutes. It can clear your mind, help you come up with new ideas, you’ll see things clearer, and you’ll feel better.

The 5-minute rule is a simple, but effective, wellness trend that can help us all in times of need.

One way in which we encourage wellness in the workplace is by offering flexible work hours to team members. Flexible hours have been increasingly sought after due to the positive impact it can have on the wellbeing of employees. Not everyone thrives from a normal 9–5 job, and it can actually cause mental health issues to worsen like anxiety and depression. Offering flexible work hours ensures that all employees have the opportunity to work a schedule that is conducive to their wellbeing, and lifestyle.

A proper work-life balance is necessary if you want your employees to thrive. When employees are taken care of, they will look for opportunities to grow within the business and simply feel less stress which can greatly impact their work. Other entrepreneurs and business owners should look at implementing flexibility into their business if they want their team to excel.

I’m a huge believer in working out in the morning and setting the tone for the day, especially busy entrepreneurs.

Working out in the morning can be incredibly beneficial for entrepreneurs. By starting the day with exercise, entrepreneurs can set a positive tone for the rest of the day, increase energy levels, and boost productivity. Exercise has been known to boost endorphins, which are hormones that improve mood and reduce stress. It also helps to improve sleep and can help entrepreneurs to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. Additionally, working out in the morning can help to establish a consistent routine and make it more likely that entrepreneurs will stick to their exercise regimen. By prioritizing their physical health, entrepreneurs can improve their overall well-being and perform better in their professional lives.

I benefit from this by being able to clear my mind and settle into working on my clients once I’m home from the gym. Knocking out the workout and training first sets the tone from the day.

I also think that entrepreneurs could benefit greatly from using a meal prep company to have pre-made, healthy, and delicious food on hand.

Entrepreneurs can benefit from using a meal prep service by saving time and energy on meal planning and preparation. Meal prep services provide healthy, pre-made meals that are ready to eat, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on their business rather than spending time in the kitchen. Additionally, meal prep services can help entrepreneurs stay on track with their dietary goals, as they can choose meals that align with their specific nutritional needs. I partner with a local meal prep company to help me take care of about 50% of my cooking. I love cooking, so I still do some on my own, but this allows me to have pretty much every weekday lunch and dinner done, so it saves a ton of time and allows me to work on my business.

In 2023, I recommend entrepreneurs dive deeper into their work-life balance.

I know how important work-life balance is to the professional development of an individual, especially if you work in a busy, tiring field of work where long hours are normal. This relates to lawyers, business owners, developers, marketers, and so much more.

Poor work-life management is dangerous because it piles up and gets worse over time. By the time you are an experienced professional, and if you haven’t addressed work-life routines, you could be in major trouble. That’s why I took it seriously in 2022 and made some changes!

Work-life balance has always been important, but it only recently has become a mainstream problem in our society. In 2023, entrepreneurs should focus on their work-life balance to make sure they are doing everything they can for themselves!

Self care is where entrepreneurship begins. If we are not taking care of ourselves, we are missing a cog in the wheel and eventually the wheel will come off and leave us in lack. Here are a few things that are supportive to any entrepreneur.

Create a morning routine that supports and aligns you with how you want the day to go. If you wake up late, throw clothes all over your room, eat breakfast on the way to work and start the day without deciding how you intend to create that day, you are starting in a frazzled state. Wake up with enough time to care for yourself. That will look different for everyone. For me it looks like setting my intention for the day. Intentionally choosing how I want to feel in the day. I realign with this intention throughout the day so that I intentionally choose the direction I am going.

Secondly, make time to move your body. It’s good for the emotions, health and wellness of my body. Part of moving my body involves walking outside. Connecting with nature is centering for our mind.

Third, eat a protein rich breakfast and give yourself time to eat it. Do this for all meals. It’s a moment in your busy day that is for you where you are nuritioning your body and giving it what it needs.

Practice awareness of your thoughts. Our thoughts ultimately create our results. If your thinking is negative and in the gutter, you’re going to feel unpreferred emotions and take action out of that, giving me a result you don’t want. Monitoring what you are thinking is the best self care. Choosing thoughts that create the results you want is living aligned.

Check in with yourself throughout the day to notice how you are feeling and then show up for yourself based on what you need in that moment. That looks different based on the day and situation. For me sometimes it looks like wearing my favorite lipstick, taking a brisk walk to clear my head, lunch alone for the quiet, calling a friend to catch up. We can only do that well, when we listen to what we need.

Taking care of ourselves is taking care of our business. My experience as an entrepreneur of 10 years has been that when I am practicing self care, I have more energy and make more efficient decisions. Setting intentions has curated the day that I want to have which long term creates all the outcomes I desire professionally as well as personally. Moving my body has increased my mood, grounds me with nature which creates calm in me and releases dopamine when I accomplish my goals physically which translates into my work by increasing my self concept.

Practicing awareness of my thoughts is what ultimately catapulted me to start my business. It has also supported me in the management of my mind which we all know as an entrepreneur is key to success. I am able to move quickly through anything that is holding me back, fears I have and on the road to creating and serving in the way that I want to. I show up how I want in this world to give and serve.

Checking with myself has prevented burnout and overworking.

According to a study done by the Statista web analytics company, there are now more than 1.5 billion fitness trackers in use globally. This growth has led to a number of entrepreneurs looking for ways to integrate fitness trackers into their businesses. One trend that wellness entrepreneurs need to try is meal delivery. Not only is this an effective way to reduce the amount of time people spend cooking and eating, but it can also help people to stay on track with their diet and exercise goals. Mindfulness and yoga are also growing trends that entrepreneurs should consider integrating into their businesses. Both mindfulness and yoga have been shown to have a number of health benefits, including reducing anxiety and stress, improving sleep quality, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Some wellness trends entrepreneurs need to try to adhere to include increasing their intake of fruits and vegetables, getting enough exercise, and managing stress.

In today’s world, where we can access everything on our smartphone and don’t have a reason to get out there to do things, it’s more important than ever to have a hobby.

Entrepreneurs need to make an effort to find a hobby they enjoy and participate in it on a regular basis. If you don’t, it will be difficult to kick yourself into gear when it comes to being active and you might not do it. It’s more difficult to take the intitiative and dive into a workout rather than attend a basketball club the same day every week. Having a hobby that requires your participation is also a great way to meet people, which can be a bonus as well.

We used to have to get out of the house and office when we wanted to do things like go to the movies, hang out with friends, and even the exercise that is associated with going to the office. Now, we stay home more often and it’s difficult to separate ourselves from work and home. A hobby is the perfect way to do that and people are making the effort to find one they enjoy.

It’s a growing trend to work out while you work. We sit for so long these days and our work rarely requires actual labor, so it’s important to find to exercise. For some people, it makes sense to find a way to do it while they work and a few examples of this are:

-Standing desk to get you off your butt.
-An under-desk treadmill so you can get your steps in.
-Under-desk bicycle for cycling.
-Stand up and do lunges in place from a standing position to a sitting position in your chair.

These things are easy to do and can make a big difference in your overall wellness at the end of each day and it can make an impact in the long-run. Get up and do what you can to stay active!

Wellness in the Workplace

There seems to be a misunderstanding concerning the term “Wellness.” It is as though one must have an affliction in order to need healing. I disagree. Wellness isn’t just for those suffering distress.

Wellness pertains to the healthy as much as it applies to the unhealthy. Likewise, the wellness of others affects each one of us, either directly or indirectly. Our wellness in turn also involves them. For this reason alone, we should all be striving for the wellness of our community.

Studies show that by helping others we help ourselves as well. It is of course not necessarily in a like for like manner, rather, either in a reciprocal way of give and take, or in an altruistic way of self-reflection.

As the saying goes, “a rising tide lifts all boats.” You could be the moon that influences that tide. In other words, you could boost the wellness of those around you, thereby improving the situation for all.

As an entrepreneur, a business leader, a manager, a supervisor, a teacher, a parent, you are looked to as an example of best practices. One of those important practices is the wellness of those who you are responsible for. After all, the healthier that the individuals are, the stronger the team is as a whole. It makes no sense to rely on others unless you have contributed to, and can therefore attest to, their well-being. Thinking that your children will behave, when you yourself have not given them the representation of good manners, makes you the fool, not them.

Three traits of wellness

There are three core traits that are necessary for wellness to take hold and grow.
• Acknowledgment
• Validation
• Respect

Acknowledgment

We won’t value that which we haven’t acknowledged.

If we aren’t aware of, or focused on, the things and people around us, we are more likely to bump into, or trip over, those things and people.

When we feel as though we are not being seen we tend to act as though we do not exist.
That is, if you aren’t seeing who I am, or what it is that I am doing, it doesn’t benefit me to act with integrity.

By being seen we hold ourselves to a higher standard.

At the moment when you feel seen, I am letting you know, “I see you,” and “You are real to me,” and “You have a place, and occupy a space, in the world with me”.

During that time the two of us are mutually connected.

Validation

We can’t expect to get that which we haven’t valued.

If we aren’t letting the people around us know what it is about them that we value, we should not be surprised when we don’t receive anything of value in return from them.

When we feel as though we are being taken for granted, the things that we do are of no worth and are therefore not worthwhile in doing. Validation gives us a sense of worth.

People need, and want, feedback. A buddy once told me that, “People need pats and pushes. The trick is in figuring out, when to give the one and not the other, and how much of each that are required.”

The only way in which we can make adjustments to ourselves, or to our surroundings, is from feedback.

And the only way to know which adjustments to make is by others expressing what is that is valuable.

Respect

I recently viewed a video on YouTube of an equity experiment.

Researchers observed two Capuchin monkeys situated in side-by-side cages. The monkeys were in full view of each other. Each monkey was asked for a rock, for which they were given a reward. When the first monkey received a slice of cucumber, she accepted it without any issue. However, when the second monkey was given a grape for the same task, that is where the problems began.

As it turns out grapes are more desirable than cucumber. On the second iteration of the same task, again the first monkey performed the task correctly, and again she was given a slice of cucumber. This time however, knowing that the price of a rock is a grape, she became visibly upset. She threw the cucumber back at the researcher and demanded proper payment, a grape. Finally on the third iteration, the monkey being confused, tested the rock to be sure that it was not the reason for the mistreatment. Again, she was given a slice of cucumber, and again she threw it back at the researcher.

The moral of the story is to treat people impartially and with the respect that they deserve. It’s simple really, treating high quality, high value, people poorly and or treating low quality, low value, people acceptably, leads to unrest, discontent, and even hostility.

The results

It’s simple really. All you need to do is ask yourself, “how would I feel if I weren’t acknowledged, validated, or respected?”

I, myself, use these traits regularly in all my interactions. It is as easy as looking people in their eyes, listening to them intently, and treating them reasonably.

The consequences of which are reciprocated. I too appreciate being acknowledged, validated, and respected. It is the essence of the proverbial “win-win.”

Lights, camera, action!

I feel so strongly about these traits that I have created an app, The Good Together Game, specifically meant to foster and enhance wellness. The app can be used in any setting, and for any relationship type, family, friends, intimate, and business. It is fully customizable to suit the users and their specific situation.
